Through the personal intervention of HRH Crown Prince Alexander a significant donation of much needed oral and injectable antibiotics has been sent to Yugoslavia by the British pharmaceutical company GlaxoWellcome. The total value of the shipment is estimated to be approximately 800,000 DM. The antibiotics are now being distributed to various clinics and hospitals around the country where they will be of immediate use to doctors and their patients in treating infections. The Crown Prince and his wife Crown Princess Katherine are advising GlaxoWellcome where these vital medicines are most needed and how they can be of maximum benefit to the people. In overseeing the distribution of these medicines HRH Crown Princess Katherine said: “This generous donation from GlaxoWellcome will make a valuable contribution towards improving the health of our people”. HRH Crown Princess Katherine has been working very actively for years
on sending the humanitarian aid to our country through her charity ‘Lifeline
Humanitarian Organisation’.
