HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISITS KULINE

New wing of 250 sqm opened, humanitarian aid delivered to the children with special needs

Belgrade, 9 June 2004 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited the Home for mentally disabled children in Kuline, where she opened a new wing of 250 sqm. During the visit, humanitarian aid was delivered, provided by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and LDS Charity and the Ambassadors for Children humanitarian organizations from America. The children received school kits, bed sheets, toys, food and hygiene supplies.

Accompanying the Princess was Dr. Laycock who is a great philanthropist and has been involved in humanitarian activities for years. She has assisted this institution, as well as the general manager of LDS Charity Mr. Morgan Harris with his wife. The event was attended by the Mayor of Aleksinac, the Chancellor of Nis University and the representatives of other children’s Homes from Serbia.HRH Crown Princess Katherine has addressed the children saying: “The hygiene supplies, school kits, toys, food and much more, are just a small part of what you need, but I hope that they will at least for a moment make your life easier and help you overcome your problems”.

After visiting the Home for mentally disabled children, the Princess opened the exhibition of the Art colony Kuline 2004.
