LONDON CLUB WROTE OFF A SIGNIFICANT PART OF DEBT TO SERBIA & MONTENEGRO

Belgrade, 5 July, 2004 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II sent a letter to HE Mladjen Dinkic, Minister of Finance, congratulating him the great success in writing off a debt of Serbia & Montenegro by the London Club.

“I was very glad of receiving the news that, due to your great effort, the London Club has written off a significant part of debt of Serbia & Montenegro.

Writing of a great debt of our country by the London Club, the financial relations with foreign creditors, have been rounded off., and our country, after many years, has returned among European and other countries in the World that will have a new economic possibilities.

At the same time it is a clear signal to all foreign investors and I hope there are going to be a lot of them” emphasized HRH Crown Prince in his congratulations
