Belgrade, 13 July 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited the Clinical Center Zvezdara in Belgrade today, where they delivered 5 tons of medical equipment and supplies, in the total value of over $100,000. The Royal Couple were welcomed by the Clinical Center Zvezdara general manager Prof. Dr. Zoran Ivankovic, in the presence of the Rotary Club Zemun Chairman Mr. Branko Gavric and the Club’s Secretary Mr. Dusko Milojevic. Their Royal Highnesses were accompanied by the member of the Crown Council academician Mr. Matija Beckovic.

This humanitarian aid is a result of the cooperation between the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, the Rotary Club Zemun and the Rotary International from the USA, through mediation of Mrs. Nancy Huff who was the guest of Their Royal Highnesses this May, together with the US Senator Nelson’s wife, Mrs. Grace Nelson.

“We are proud of you and your endurance in the adversities that our nation went through” – said the Crown Princess. “My husband Crown Prince Alexander and I are doing our best to be a bridge between people of good will throughout the world and those who need assistance.”

The aid was also delivered to the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia.
