CONDEMNATION OF VIOLENCE IN KRAGUJEVAC

Belgrade, 30. August 2004 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II has sent a letter to His Grace Bishop of Sumadija Jovan and to the Mayor of Kragujevac Dr. Vlatko Rajkovic regarding the recent incident in this town.

“It was with outrage and anxiety that I received the news of the desecration of Kragujevac city cemetery. I most strongly condemn every form of violence, particularly the one directed toward sacred places. Every civilized society must confront with all its power such apaling acts of vandalism.” – emphasized the Crown Prince in his letter, extending his sympathy to the citizens of Kragujevac.
