THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES ATTEND OPENING OF ELEVENTH TRADITIONAL EASTER REFUGEE WOMEN’S HANDICRAFTS BAZAAR
Belgrade, 29 March 2012 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine together with Mr. Vladimir Cucic, Serbian Commissioner for Refugees and Mr. Zoran Milosevic, President of the Assembly of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce opened today the eleventh traditional Easter refugee women’s handicrafts Bazaar at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
Speeches were delivered by Mr. Zoran Milosevic, President of the Assembly of Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Vladimir Cucic, Serbian Commissioner for Refugees and HRH Crown Princess Katherine who officially opened the bazaar.
Her Highness emphasized in her speech: "Dear friends, all proceeds from your purchases at the bazaar are meant to support these women and associations. Therefore, by buying these unique traditional Serbian items, you are assisting those who are the most vulnerable in our society. So please invite your friends and neighbors to come to visit the traditional Easter Bazaar”.
Mr. Vladimir Cucic said that he expected that majority of problems of refugees living in Serbia could be solved in next few years thanks to the International donors conference that will be held in Sarajevo on April 24, where funds should be raised for building of 16,750 apartments for refugees.
This humanitarian event was attended by members of diplomatic corps in Serbia, H.E. Mrs. Mercedes Ruiz Zapata, Ambassador of Mexico, H.E. Mrs. Nafsika Krousti, Ambassador of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Clemens Koja, Ambassador of Austria, H.E. Mr. Yossef Levy, Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Mr. Alexandre Addor Neto, Ambassador of Brazil, and many other distinguished guests.
The Humanitarian Easter Bazaar gathered over 40 exhibitors this year, including several schools for children with developmental problems.

The Bazaar will be opened every day from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm until Saturday, 31 March 2012.
