Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine attended this morning the Holy Liturgy, which was officiated by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej of Serbia and the Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, in the crypt of St. Sava Temple.

In his Christmas congratulations Crown Prince Alexander said:

“On the occasion of the great feast of Christ’s birth, I send my warmest congratulations to all citizens of Serbia and Republika Srpska, wishing them to spend Christmas in peace and love, surrounded by good will. This year, too, we celebrate the birth of the Son of God with joy, faith, hope and love. The spirit of goodwill, peace and care for our loved ones, which fills this season, gives us hope that the infinite light of the Almighty will guide our lives, and remind us to strive for humaneness and togetherness, following the path of the God’s law. My family and I wish you to spend this great Holy Holiday, the day of joy for all Christians, in peace and joy. Peace on Earth, Christ is born!”

After the Christmas liturgy, HRH Crown Princess Katherine attended and served lunch for the children at Home for Children and Youth “Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj”, and also delivered them Christmas gifts, together with HE Mrs. Kati Csaba, Ambassador of Canada in Serbia, HE Mrs. Alona Fisher-Kamm, the Israeli Ambassador to Serbia and HE Mrs. Isabel Cristina de Azevedo Heyvaert, Ambassador of Brazil to Serbia.

Their Royal Highnesses expressed their special gratitude to Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization for their contribution in collecting Christmas gifts for the children.
