Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, accompanied by HRH Crown Princess’ sister Mrs. Betty Roumeliotis, attended this morning the Holy Liturgy, which was officiated by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej of Serbia and the Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, in the crypt of St. Sava Temple.

In his Easter congratulations Crown Prince Alexander said:

“Easter is not just time for celebration, but also time to remember and mention in our prayers all those who are not with us anymore. To all who celebrate this holiday above all holidays we extend this message of peace and belief in eternal life. We pray to the Lord to give us strength and wisdom to overcome all the misfortune and difficulties, and that we all work together for the benefit of Serbia and for every individual in our country, in order to make a better future for the generations to come. I ask you to spend this holiday in peace and harmony, to be joyful, because we are celebrating Christ’s return to life. My family joins me to wish and greet you with the traditional Easter greeting – Christ is Risen!”.

Upon completion of the sacred liturgy, the Royal Family in the company of HE Mr Ivica Dacic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, attended a ceremonial reception for Easter in the St. Sava temple parish home, hosted by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej.
